Wairarapa Moana: one of the most innovative and progressive Maori incorporations and corporate agribusinesses in Aotearoa, New Zealand
 Wairarapa Moana: winners of the Ahuwhenua Cup for Maori Farmer of the Year.
Wairarapa Moana Incorporation is owned by over 3,000 descendants of the original owners of Lake Wairarapa, which along with surrounding farm land, was taken by the government in the1880s, beginning a fascinating and ultimately successful story.
After decades of broken promises, the original owners were then forced to take over a block of isolated, unproductive scrub and bush in the South Waikato near Mangakino as compensation in 1925.
 The township of Mangakino in Waikato which is situated close to Wairarapa Moana Incorporation's farming and forestry operations.
