Be a future leader!
The scholarship programme is part of a long-term development plan targeted at affecting the lives of the shareholders, owners and descendants of the Wairarapa Moana. The plan is aimed at realising some of the visions, dreams and expectations of our tipuna.
Scholarship Information:
1. Scholarships are open to descendants of an original Wairarapa Moana owner;
2. A minimum of 18 scholarships will be offered annually for tertiary, trade training and apprenticeships;
Consideration is given to the selection criteria which includes:
- Academic record;
- Involvement in cultural and/or community activities;
- Study in under-graduate, post graduate or diploma programmes as a full time, full calendar year student;
- Contribution towards the vision of the strategic plan.
Fields of study are outlined in the application form available from the Wairarapa Moana office.
Further, as a natural extension of the education programme, the Wairarapa Moana Trust is looking to use and apply our skill base to ensure a significant contribution back to the overall growth and development of our people.
